Retail Sales Representative

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, professional, and approachable Retail Sales Representative to join our team in the Western Cape. This role is ideal for someone with strong sales and marketing expertise who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys building relationships with store managers and in-store teams. You will be responsible for servicing a portfolio of retail stores across the region, following a structured weekly call cycle. Your ability to drive sales, maintain excellent product presentation, and communicate effectively will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Visit retail stores in line with your weekly route plan
• Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers and staff
• Present product offerings, pricing, and new launches to customers
• Take orders and ensure accurate processing
• Monitor stock levels and ensure products are well merchandised
• Ensure products are correctly displayed, well-stocked, and not short dated
• Collaborate with merchandisers to maintain high in-store standards
• Plan and coordinate in-store activations with store management
• Address queries, returns, and product-related concerns professionally
• Track deliveries and follow up on outstanding orders
• Communicate product quality concerns to relevant internal teams

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within wholesale and retail (non-negotiable)
• Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive, self-motivated, and solution-oriented mindset
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Willingness to travel extensively within the Western Cape
• Valid driver’s licence with at least 3 years’ driving experience
