Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the end-to-end hiring process, including job postings, CV screening, shortlisting, interviews, reference checks, and offer letters.
  • Talent Pipelining & Local Sourcing: Develop and maintain a strong talent pipeline to support continuous scaling. Provide local feedback on candidate-market insights and potential successors.
  • Hiring Manager Collaboration: Partner with department heads to assess staffing needs, define candidate personas, and draft compelling job descriptions.
  • Employee Support & Point of Contact: Act as the primary local HR contact for employees and managers. Provide guidance on HR policies, employment contracts, probation, performance reviews, workplace conduct, and documentation.
  • Onboarding & Orientation: Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires to ensure a smooth transition. Collect required documentation, facilitate HR orientation on company policies and workplace standards, and coordinate with IT and Operations.
  • Employee Connection & Relations: Maintain regular contact with employees to foster a positive workplace culture. Support check-ins to identify engagement or retention risks early. Handle employee inquiries, assist with conflict resolution, and gather facts for relations cases, escalating serious matters to the HR Manager.
  • Disciplinary Process Support: Support disciplinary procedures locally in accordance with company policy. Prepare and maintain documentation for warnings, performance improvement plans, investigation meetings, and terminations.
  • Leave and Attendance Management: Process and monitor employee leave requests through the internal HR platform. Review eligibility, handle the HR approval stage, and monitor attendance concerns such as repeated lateness or unauthorized absences.
  • Offboarding: Coordinate local offboarding for resignations, non-renewals, and terminations. Ensure completion of resignation documentation, leave reconciliation, asset returns, system-access removals, and exit interviews.
  • Performance and Probation Tracking: Track employees approaching probation completion, performance review, contract renewal, and promotion consideration. Act as the single source of truth for local deadlines, ensuring managers complete reviews on time.
  • HR Administration & Recordkeeping: Maintain complete, up-to-date, and accurate employee files and HR databases. Oversee Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and ensure personnel files contain appropriate documentation (contracts, salary changes, disciplinary records).
  • Compliance: Ensure all recruitment practices and HR processes adhere strictly to local labor laws, statutory obligations, and internal company policies.
  • HR Communications & Reporting: Support the communication of HR updates to local employees. Provide regular reports covering headcount, new hires, exits, leave activity, attendance, performance concerns, and employee grievances.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven work experience as a Recruiter, Talent Acquisition Specialist, or HR Generalist. At least 2 years of HR generalist experience within the relevant country or market.
  • Technical Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, leave-management systems, and modern sourcing techniques (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter).
  • Legal Acumen: Solid understanding of employment laws, labor regulations, and standard HR practices in the assigned country.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively represent the company’s employer brand.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with candidates, employees, and internal stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities and tracking local deadlines simultaneously.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information professionally.
  • Ability to identify and escalate serious employee matters appropriately.

  • Experience in EdTech, Online Program Management, higher education, BPO, technology, or shared services.
  • Experience recruiting Admissions, Student Success, customer-facing, telesales, or other high-volume operational roles.
  • Relevant HR certification or professional training.
